Mission: Session 4: The Humans are Dead...
Location: Lottie's quaters

Expelling a sigh Lottie eased herself onto the scruffy couch, propped up her injured leg and closed her eyes. Though scored with several lasting scars and no stranger to injury this was seemed to have drained her of her strength - a sign of growing older no doubt.

She'd retrieved her secret stash of self indulgence - chocolate and unwrapped the first inch when the chime to her quarters sounded. She lowered the bar with frustration: "Yes, come'"

Jones popped his head into the cabin and saw the injured Lottie with her leg up and chocolate in hand. "Sorry, looks like I'm disturbing you, I can come back latter if you want."

She pouted clearly thinking about the offer. "No its alright, come in."

"How is the leg treating you?" Jones came in and looked at the bar of chocolate she held in her hands. "Comfort food huh?" He moved and and and knelt down next to the couch. "Sorry about all this."

"Not fretting," she half snapped, ripped off a sqaure of chocolate and stuffed into Jones' mouth. "You heard the Doc eariler - I'll live, after all its just a flesh wound."

Walter chewed on the sweet tasting piece of chocolate, it had been years since he had eaten a piece. "I know, I guess I'm just getting soft in my old age. It kind of was my fault you got tagged in the leg." Jones sat down on the floor and leaned against the couch. "Normally I'd just say walk it off, or rub some dirt in it."

Unseen Lottie smirked; "I'm sorry your present was damaged, still I can't think of many occasion that require to be fancy dressed. And you looked draper in tails."

"Thanks love." He looked her up at her. "It's ok, I think you look better out of it anyways." Jones gave her a big grin twisting around.

"I did notice," she replied playfully swatting his head. "Do you think she'll follow us, personally I find Park more of a threat."

"You mean old Kiki? She's kind of like a tiger, beautiful, cunning, and ferocious, though I doubt she'll blame us for what happened. If she does come after us, you'll protect me right?" Jones smiled at her again. "As for Park, how the hell is he back.. not only did we kill him, I doubt anyone could have survived that explosion."

Behind him she shook her head puzzled, "I have no idea. We can only hope he didn't make it out. Kiki now is it?" Lottie changed the topic, "First name terms? The two of you must have been serious... I might let her crave a piece out of you before I decide to play savior."

"Yeah, we were serious at one time, we both got a bit burned by it from each other. Though I think we both know that business is business and everything else is everything else." Jones tilted his head back to look at Lottie. "You know what I'm saying?"

She smirked: "I think so."

"So if I put a slug into your knee cap it is just business. That is all, doesn't change any feelings I have about you. Just giving you a heads up I guess."

"Ah, but if you don't expect to come off lightly," her gaze narrowed in more of jest than threat. "What was it you wanted to say anyway, back on the brdige?"

"Ohhh.. it was more or less that I wanted to apologize for getting you shot." Walt's face turned a bit sad. "I just didn't want to to do it in front of the rest of the crew."

With a soft thud Lottie scooted off the couch and onto the floor beside him: "You really are getting soft," she said threading an arm around his shoulders. "It wasn't you're fault, and you should be grateful we made it out in once piece."

"Yeah I am getting soft, it is becoming a liability." Jones looked over at Lottie. "Hell, if it was Tyl or someone else with me, and they got shot I'd just give them some booze on the next run. I think you are driving me crazy." He smiled at Lottie as he sat next to her on the floor.

A playful glint shone in her eye for a moment before with a shake of her head Lottie turned serious: "I could always leave when we make port next. Then you can concentrate better."

"God no, you are the only pretty thing on this old tub, besides, I'd miss you." Jones was turning beat red. "I umm.. I should probably get to helping Jan with something..."

The color blossomed across his face like wildfire, Lottie chuckled. "If you go any softer Jones you'd be edible. Just don't blow anything up while your with Jan, cos I'll miss you too."

Damnit.. why do I have to be so old Jones thought as he stood up and left the room. He stood up and headed up to the bridge to think for a while.
